At Calvary Church of Oak Lawn, we are rooted in a legacy of faith, from Calvin to Calvary Orland—and now, as we step into this exciting new chapter of independence, we are laying down the next layer of our foundation. But we need you to help us continue building something great! This is our moment to rally together and strengthen the future of our church, ensuring we stand tall for generations to come.

Campaign Goals: Building a Stronger Church, Together

We believe in the power of community and the heart of giving, and we’re excited to invite every one of you to take part in this campaign! Here’s how we’re going to make it happen:

100% Participation Goal – Let’s All Play a Part!

Whether you’re a member or a regular attender, we want everyone to be part of this campaign. The goal isn’t just to raise money; it’s about coming together as one body to build something lasting. If you’re not in a place to give financially, no worries! There are plenty of ways to serve with your time, talents, and energy. From serving in Kids Life, welcoming others on Sundays, or lending a hand in our community garden—every gift, big or small, is a vital part of this work.

Financial Goal – $35,000

Together, we’re aiming to raise $35,000 for our church reserve fund. The reserve fund protects the church in the event that giving in a particular year does not match our expenses or when unexpected expenses are incurred (e.g., major building repair). Here’s how we’re breaking down our goal:

• Brick Goal = $10,000: With approximately 100 adult members in our church, a gift of just $100 from each person will get us to our goal. That’s just $1 per day over the course of the 3-month campaign! Every gift, no matter the size, is a step forward.

• Pillar Goal = 5 Gifts of $5,000: These gifts can come from individuals or groups—whether that’s a small group, a group of friends, or a family coming together to bless the church. Want to make a BIG impact? This is your chance to be a pillar in our foundation.

Watch Us Build, Brick by Brick!

As you give, you’ll see your impact visually in our “Building the Foundation” poster in the church lobby! For every $100 donated, we’ll add a brick to our poster. When we receive a $5,000 gift, we’ll add a pillar or the front door to symbolize that we are all working together to build this church into something incredible. Each symbol is a reminder of the commitment we’re making to one another and to God.
